Rainbow Connection (Through Dance)

Dance has an interesting way of connecting you to a multitude of other skills in a way no other hobby can quite do. Each second of the day plays out like 8 counts in my mind, allowing me to be both punctual and knowingly late without the need of a clock. Every step I take feels like the BPM of a song playing that only I can hear. My words feel like melodies that allows my hands to move fluently to each accented syllable that can turn every conversation into an interpretive dance. Dance has roots in not just the movement of our bodies, but the movement of the universe itself. It allows us to bounce freely between this realm and the next seamlessly and beautifully.

It also has a way of connecting us to our wildest dreams. For some, their wildest dream is dance itself. For others, their dreams go beyond the realm of dance, yet somehow the skill of dance always finds a way to increase the productivity and quality of any ability surrounding it. For my personal testimony, that would be music. Creating the very same sonics that people shuffle their feet to has allowed me to hear beyond just my own ear. I search for intricacies that only a dancer has appreciation for. I search for melodics that make me want to extend lines and arch my feet. I search for beats that allow for all creativity to be welcomed in. Dance is so much more than dance, and I welcome you to try it out.
